Thanks for all the posts on this topic! I'm really overwhelmed
with the great response. The anim looks great! I nice to see
that there's still a large network of caring LWers out there.

You really shouldn't have this kind of problem. I've put together
scenes like this
without any trouble. Perhaps, you should make the dome clear
(transparent) to
about 85%-90%... use FADE behind objects, not Glow Behind. Glow behind
should
be used in the distance. Also, up the flare dissolve... it adds a
little to the scene,
and creates more of a "glow" from the light. And, it's not necessary to
use
much light intensity either, as these lights will not really be cast on
anything.
Ray trace shadows too.
